Baby Swap

This past weekend (yes, I do realize it is already Thursday) was a bit of a change for us.  I had a good friend's baby's 1st birthday party to attend.  There was stuff to get done around the house, so Paul was going to stay in town (the party was out of town).  Since it was a 1st birthday party, I decided to take the twins with me instead of my usual partner in crime, Ella.  I was going to my parent's house for the night after the party, so H&H would get a lot of one on one time with my mom and I which does not happen...ever.

Paul and Ella had LOTS planned here in town too!  Friday evening Paul took her to get her nails done.  Yep, you heard it...he really is the best dad ever ;)  Then they went to Ella's friend's house and hung out with her and her daddy (and little brother) for the evening.  Then on Saturday Paul and Ella met up with some more friends that we hadn't seen in a long time.  They had such a great time together!  I was SO happy that Ella never cried for me and barely even asked for me!  She has been a daddy's girl ever since!  Although their daddy/daughter weekend was much needed, it does make me somewhat sad that she is clearly favoring her daddy ever since the weekend!

Hailee, Hannah, and I had a great time away!  The birthday party was so much fun!  I saw great friends that I don't see often and H&H were on their best behavior (which is rare).  Then we went back to my parents house and my mom and I went to a late showing of Safe Haven.  The movie was great, as was the time spent with my mom.  Then on Saturday morning we went to the outlets and got a good start (and maybe finish) on all of the girl's summer wardrobes!

Sunday, all together again, we spent the day as a family at church and then at the park and out for ice cream.  What a perfect day!  Enjoy these photos from our weekend adventures!

This is the sweet and smiley face I left on Friday afternoon.  I knew I would miss my girl and I was right!

Some friends of 10+ years!  Love getting together with these ladies!

Hailee, Hannah, and grandpa on Saturday morning.  We all spent extra time snuggling these sweeties!

Beautiful day for shopping, and snacking, at the outlets!  My dad pushed the girls around all morning for me so I could shop with my mom and sister.  How nice!  He couldn't believe how many "twin comments" these girls got from people.  Yep, that's definitely the norm!

Ella and her friend Morgan at Ella's favorite restaurant...Chick-Fil-A!  These two have been friends since they were about 2 months old, when I started babysitting Morgan every day during the week.  I watched Morgan until the day I went on bed rest with H&H.  These two definitely have a special bond!

The photo I woke up to on Saturday morning from Paul.  Coloring while she was eating breakfast..she sure got spoiled by daddy!  No wonder she had such a great time!

Hailee at the park on Sunday!

Ella!

Hannah and Ella!  The girls were SO much fun at the park on Sunday.  We really did have the best time with them.  I am so excited for this summer and all the fun things we have planned!

Hailee

Hannah.  Hannah is our little dare devil.  She was going down the big, swirly slides as Hailee and Ella stayed on the little tiny ones.  Hannah really has no fear.  She was so funny and cute all afternoon.

This was just yesterday.  They were on their way to dad's night at Ella's preschool.

Daddy and Ella had such a great time!  They had pizza and dessert and Ella's class sang songs for all of the dads.  She brought home these activities that they did while there.  Notice her name at the top of the sun paper...she is getting so good at writing it!  I love the things she said about Paul on the blue paper too!

Fun at the park!

The other day the girls and I went down to the park when they got up from their afternoon naps.  It was a gorgeous afternoon and I figure we need to take advantage of any nice weather while we still have it!  The girls are so much fun now!  I love all of their ages so much.  I like that they can do so much on their own and a lot of times I am just there supervising.  Going to the park (or anywhere) is still quite chaotic, but is much more fun these days!  Enjoy these phone photos from our afternoon out :)  And I hope you get a good laugh out of the video!

On the way to the park!  They are getting a little snug all in the wagon at once!

Hailee thinks she is a big shot climbing up the "big girl" steps.

Hannah LOVES slides!  She isn't afraid of even the biggest ones!

Hailee wanted to walk Chloe home.  It was cute, but I don't think so ;)

This was the evening before when we went for ice cream.  Paul worked late, so I took the girls.  I love that they can all walk up from the car holding hands, and then sit there and eat their own ice cream (or any food for that matter).  They all love being Miss Independent and I have no problem with that!
Ok, so the video will not let me add a caption.  You may want to turn the volume down so you don't hear me cracking up at them.  I really thought this was the funniest thing ever!  Then they just kept plowing into each other over and over again.  They thought is was hilarious and no one ever cried.  Our park adventure sure made my day!

Just another summer day :)

I haven't posted any random photos of the girls lately.  They are all just getting so big.  Hannah and Hailee are not babies anymore and are really now little toddlers.  For some reason, I am already sad about Ella's 3rd birthday coming up this year.  It isn't until September, but I can't help myself but think about the fact that we will have a THREE year old!  That seems so old! ((tear))

Anyways, we had a nice little summer day today.  Spent time at home (which we probably need to do more of), went to the park, came home and played outside.  Days like today make me love being a stay at home mom.  I love that I get to spend so much time with my girls.  Talk to me on another day and I will probably have a whole different frame of mind.  Ha.  Either way, today was a good day.  Oh, and it ended with a somewhat impromptu girl's night out with a couple of my very best friends.  Can't get much better than that!  Enjoy some photos from our afternoon at the park!

Hailee

Sisters <3

Guess which one is Hailee?  (Hint: look at the bellies:)

Hannah (love those lips!)

Ella, still loving the baby swing!

Hannah trying to figure out how to rock climb..

Hailee, plotting a scheme (see below)

Everyone running away from mommy! (the photos taken after this one of me chasing them would've been quite funny, I'm sure.)

Then Ella decided to climb this big pile of mulch..

and Hailee thought she too, could climb the big pile!

What do you know, somebody got stuck,

and tried to slide down on her belly.

Then Hannah lost a shoe,

and once she found it,

her sister lost hers too.  I think at this point it was time to head home!

Chalk time!

Even the babes love a little drawing! (Look at their orange hair!  Some days it seems so red, we can't believe it!)

Getting out, just a little bit.

I finally feel a little bit comfortable taking the girls out of the house.  We had a very fun weekend!  On Friday, Paul and I had date night.  We had a babysitter come watch Ella, as Hannah and Hailee were already in bed.  Saturday morning I had a photo shoot.  The girls and I left right when it was over and met some friends at the zoo.  I didn't take any photos at the zoo :(  I realized once we got there that I had forgotten my camera.  We had so much fun though! Ella just loves her friend Adelynn.  Saturday afternoon some friends came over for a cookout.  The girls loved playing with their little friend Sophia.  Sunday I got out of the house and ran some errands...alone!  How nice!  Then today the girls and I went for a loong walk (3 miles!) to and from a Homestead Park.  We followed a bike trail here in Hilliard and had a picnic by the play ground.  Needless to say, I am exhausted!  Pushing 90lbs (30 Ella, 20 Hailee, 20 Hannah, 20 stroller) that far was hard work!  Hopefully as I do it more often, it will become easier!

Enjoy a few photos from the weekend!

Ella on a Sunday morning...a sun hat that is two sizes too small, no pants, and rainboots. What a goof!

She must be doing the rain dance!

Hannah, loving life!

Ella can never get enough play at the park!

We had a little picnic before heading back home.  My three little lady loves <3

Three's Company

We have been looking for fun toys that all three girls will be able to use this summer.  Paul and I found this alligator online, so we asked for it for H&H's birthday from grandpa and grandma Clark.  It just came the other day.  The girls all LOVE it!  What a great toy for three kids!  This will (hopefully) be an outside toy, but for now will be indoors taking up the whole family room.

I am SO glad that we got this big swingset when Ella was little.  It's nice that it has room for all three girls to play on at once.  I have a feeling we will be out back all summer, which is totally fine with me ;)  We had a fun afternoon the other day in this beautiful weather we have had!

We have a big park around the block from us that we went to earlier in the week.  I love that all three girls can sit in the wagon together.  It was so fun pulling them to the park.  Ella then wanted to pull them back, along with her stick collection.  This didn't last long!  What hard work it was for her!
